Serve as a Regional Small Group Leader:

Our regional small groups are where we seek out to experience the life and the vision of our church -- to be an open door where we encounter God's life-changing grace and Gospel.  We invite you to come and join us as we set out to follow Jesus together ... in a cozy living room, with open Bibles, over some vegetables and dip, and in the company of brothers and sisters.

We meet on a weekly basis where we worship together, discuss our study (based off the previous Sunday's sermon), and end in prayer together and for one another.  We do offer a group for women-only and several groups for couples and families.

Serving Information for Hannah's Hope:

Hannah's Hope is a support group for women struggling with infertility. If you are going through or have gone through infertility, your experience may help others who are struggling.

1. What is Hannah’s Hope?
Hannah’s Hope is a support group for women who are presently or have in the past struggled with infertility.
It’s a safe and confidential group where women can journey with one another in their struggle. It differs from an
ODPC small group, in that the main goal is not to learn or gain Biblical understanding. The support group is not
professional counseling, and is not intended to replace the role of either small groups or professional counseling.

2. How do I know I am struggling with infertility?
Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive within one year of unprotected intercourse (for a woman over 35, this
time period is six months), or the inability to carry a child to live birth.
Taken from www.resolve.org.

3. Why is ODPC starting Hannah’s Hope?
ODPC desires to meet the needs of women who are presently or have in the past struggled with infertility in a tangible
way and to continue to grow as a church that “extends grace” into broken areas of people’s lives.

4. What are the potential benefits of joining Hannah’s Hope?
They may include:
- Receiving support from women who are struggling or have struggled with infertility.
- Experiencing community with women who are currently or have in the past experienced infertility.
- Receiving information about topics related to infertility.
- Feeling supported as the loneliness and isolation of struggling with infertility are shared.
- Finding encouragement knowing that others are praying for you.
- Experiencing spiritual and emotional healing.

5. What are the potential risks of joining Hannah’s Hope?
They may include:
- If a group member becomes pregnant during the course of the group, other participants may experience a range of
emotions including sadness, envy, jealously, frustration, confusion, etc.
- If a group member has a successful adoption during the course of the group, other participants may experience a
range of emotions including sadness, envy, jealously, frustration, confusion, etc.
- As group members share their experience with a particular infertility treatment, some may feel “pressured” to
engage in the treatment despite their comfort level.
- Group members may hear differing opinions regarding treatment options and some may not be comfortable with it
because the opinion is not shared.

6. Who will lead the meetings for Hannah’s Hope?
1 to 2 facilitators will lead the group. The facilitators are members of ODPC and are sensitive to the needs of women
who are experiencing or have experienced infertility.

7. What will be discussed in the support group meetings?
The discussion topics will be taken from a book by Jennifer Saake, Hannah’s Hope: Seeking God’s Heart in the Midst of
Infertility. Topics may include, “How Long Does It Hurt?”, “Is God Punishing Me?”, “Bitterness of Soul”, “Anguish and
Grief”, “Worshipping While Waiting”, “Envy, Jealousy, and Rivalry”.

8. When does Hannah's Hope meet?
The group meets for 90 min. sessions on the third Thursday of each month.

Volunteer for the Klema Ministry:

Klema is committed to sharing the Gospel with individuals with disabilities and their families.  We firmly believe that every person is fearfully and wonderfully created by God and that each person plays a vital role in the body of Christ, and so our vision is to uphold God's calling to embrace those with disabilities and to reflect the heart of God by providing special Sunday school and family outreach programs to the community.

We minister on a weekly basis, hosting Sunday services and programs on our church campus.  We also organize and provide specific ministry events, workshops, and visitations to family homes.

If you are interested in serving in Klema, please contact Pastor David Kim at daehan718@gmail.com

Seeking fun-loving, enthusiastic volunteers for our EC Children’s Ministry:

FRUITFUL VINEYARD MINISTRY

Our vision is for our children to become God’s vineyard, bearing lasting fruit for God’s kingdom and glory. Our mission is to partner with parents in raising their children to love the Lord God with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind and to love their neighbor as themselves by:

1) consistently teaching and equipping them with God’s Word through Bible lessons that are age-appropriate, interactive and applicable
2) providing a safe and fun environment for children to express and demonstrate their faith to those within and outside of the church
3) faithfully praying for the children.

Infants and Toddlers Program (newborn through 2 years):
We need volunteers who can spend one Sunday a month helping to care for infants and toddlers during the first or second service.

Sunday School (3 years through kindergarten):
To support our lead teachers, we're looking for assistants who can help in the classroom, and for room parents who can liaise with parents and coordinate events.
