The Vision
OUR VISION
"To be an Open Door to a Life Changing GRACE"
We believe God has called us to Encounter God’s life changing grace, to Exchange this
grace within community and to Extend this grace to a world starving of it.
HOW WE GET THERE
This vision statement has been hanging on a banner in front of the sanctuary for over three years.
In that time, we have grown significantly in size, from 150 attendees to our current 450 adults. If
you include our children, we are over 550. God has been faithful.
But how much have we really grown in our vision? Are we truly a place of grace? What would that
even look like? Here is what we have realized:
"If we desire TRULY TO be An Open Door to a Life Changing GRACE
we must first become An Open Door to a Life Changing GOSPEL"
An invitation to divine grace is by necessity an invitation to engage the gospel of Jesus Christ.
There is no grace without gospel. The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provide the
content and the contours of grace.
OUR CLARION CALL
So here is our clarion call: BE A GOSPEL CHURCH. And in that way we become a GRACE
FILLED CHURCH. Encounter, Exchange and Extend the GOSPEL, and we will by our very
nature emanate the fragrance of grace to a grace-starved world.
A LOOK INTO OUR FUTURE
Imagine it’s Baptism Sunday. All the candidates for baptism are brought to the front, and who do we see? Our co-workers. Our neighbors. Our friends. We hear their testimonies, and they share about a powerful gospel that they heard from our pulpit, and saw lived out in our community. This is the kind of church we want to become—a place where our friends, our neighbors, our colleagues are welcomed into a place of genuine grace.
