Welcome Message from Pastor Tae
“The Fruitful Vineyard Ministry of the English Congregation of ODPC, or EC FVM as we call it serves the youngest members of our church. We believe that the work we do now in each child’s life will bear fruit for the Kingdom of God for years to come. We believe in partnering with parents and strongly encourage participation from parents in our ministry. We currently have over 150 children from infants to kindergarten and occupy most of the New Worship Center’s classrooms. For quality and safe programming and care we require almost 50 volunteers a week who handle check-in, teaching, assisting, praise & worship, puppet shows, etc. Our biggest joy is when we see young children love God and our church and understand Truth principles found in Scripture! Welcome to EC FVM, we are glad you are here!” |
Upon entering our church..
We ask all parents to check in at the Welcoming Desk and use our kiosks to check-in, print name tags & receipt, and then head over to the classrooms. If you are a visitor, you will need to head that way as well and let us help you get registered and receive a class assignment for your child(ren). |
Infants
are in room 132 and are cared for by parent volunteers who serve on a rotation. There is a Team Leader in the room who is committed for the year and who provides a report each week of any pertinent information. Cheerios are given as a snack. |
Toddlers
enter through room 135 and are divided between room 135 and room 133. Depending on the age and interest level of the children, toddlers may have structured circle time, praise songs, sticker activity sheets, crafts, and free play. Toddlers are given Cheerios and water during snack time. Team Leaders/Teachers serve on a rotation in these two rooms, and parents are asked to serve on a rotation if they are not serving somewhere else on Sunday mornings. |

Little Lights Ministry -
Little Lights Ministry serves the 1st – 3rd graders at Open Door Presbyterian Church. Our staff is committed to sharing God’s love with each and every child that walks through our doors. Our prayer is for all of our children to become “little lights” in their home, school and community. This vision is based on 1 Timothy 4:12 – “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” |

Annual Events:
Open House for Parents
Who is my child’s teacher? What is my child being taught during Bible Study? Who else is in my child’s class? All of these questions and more are answered during our Open House. Parents are invited to worship with their child, meet their child’s teacher, sit in their classroom, and meet the other parents of children in their class.
Bible Memory Contest
It’s important to begin memorizing God’s Word at an early age, so we encourage our children to do so by having a memory contest. In the past, our children memorized The Lord’s Prayer, Psalm 23, Psalm 121, and 1 Corinthians 13. Parents and children work diligently to memorize scripture and through their teamwork, all of our children confidently recite God’s Word.
Third Grade Graduation Picnic
Before our third graders move up to the Kids for Christ (Grades 4-6) Ministry, we want to recognize and bless them. Families enjoy a Hawaiian-themed fellowship, and one of the highlights is when our fathers learn how to hula dance. However, the biggest highlight is at the end when we bless our parents and children with a special prayer of blessing.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
For one week, our children and their friends are invited to an annual summer program at church. Each day is filled with praise, worship, games, and crafts that follow a specific theme. Our goal is to help build a firm spiritual foundation for each child during our time together.
Family Fall Festival
As an alternative to trick-or-treating on Halloween, our children are encouraged to attend our Family Fall Festival at church. Various game stations are set up to provide our children with an evening of games, prizes, and candy in a safe and fun environment. Our children can also watch the Bible come to life as our teachers act out different stories from the Bible.
Christmas Presentation
Parents and children participate together in our annual presentation where we celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus.

Klema is committed to sharing the Gospel with individuals with disabilities and their families. We firmly believe that every person is fearfully and wonderfully created by God and that each person plays a vital role in the body of Christ, and so our vision is to uphold God's calling to embrace those with disabilities and to reflect the heart of God by providing special Sunday school and family outreach programs to the community.
We minister on a weekly basis, hosting Sunday services and programs on our church campus. We also organize and provide specific ministry events, workshops, and visitations to family homes.
